URS has been serving the oil and gas industry for more than 80 years, providing integrated planning, environmental, engineering, construction and operations support services across the entire project lifecycle and complete customer value chain—from upstream exploration and production (both on-shore and off-shore) to treatment, transportation, storage (including terminals and underground storage of gas), LNG, refining and marketing.
Our long-term clients include most of the world’s largest integrated oil and gas companies, which we support through multi-year, multi-service Master Service Agreements. We have worked for virtually all major oil and gas companies, in support of their downstream activities on numerous refineries, storage/distribution terminals and service station networks, and we have provided due diligence, corporate audit, soil and groundwater investigation/remediation, and regulatory compliance/permitting services in Europe, the Middle East, Asia/Pacific and the Americas.
URS also supports upstream activities by performing front-end siting, permitting and geotechnical evaluations. As one the largest providers of design engineering services, we also provide conceptual, FEED and detailed design engineering for small- to large-scale capital projects. Our process engineering skills include oil and gas processing, sulpher removal and handling, oil sands, petroleum refining, petrochemical, cryogenics, enhanced oil recovery, biofuels and environmental control systems.
We provide construction and construction management; procurement and installation services; as well as commissioning, start-up and testing. We partner with our clients to provide on-site engineering support, dedicated long-term operations and maintenance, and expert troubleshooting and turnaround assistance.
Our experience includes work in remote and environmentally sensitive areas. For clients facing legacy and present-day environmental liabilities, we provide cost-effective solutions, and bring state-of-the-art methods and equipment to environmental assessment, risk evaluation and remediation. We also provide demolition, asset recovery and integrated property reuse and redevelopment services for a wide variety of sites.
