URS has had an established presence in Malaysia since 1995 and has been involved in a full range of infrastructure projects from the Kuala Lumpur Express Rail Link and Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, to the relocation of the deep sea port at Sapangar Bay in Sabah and the development of container terminals at Laem Chabang, Thailand. The office acts as a URS centre of excellence in airports and pavement engineering, with a specialist capability in airfield ground lighting design.
